It is amazing to me that the rhetoric used by George Bush was bashed by the media, and yet the exact same rhetoric coming from the mouth of Barack Obama is upheld as wonderful, and representative of change. What is really sad is that it took John Stewart of the Daily Show on Comedy Central to be able to point out that Obama is getting by with the same rhetoric that Bush was blasted for:
All the fundamental principles are there…but the “comedy commentator” actually hit the nail on the head. They don’t think Obama has the ability, or the guts to be able to follow through. When President Bush spoke to countries that would threaten us, the world paid attention. It doesn’t look like that will be the case under the new administration…

I tried to avoid anything to do with the “Great Emaculation”, but Rush had it on, so I listened. I could not believe my ears. Some things sounded like Pres. Bush, but other parts sounded like Ronaldus Magnus (Ronald Reagan–the greatest President of our modern time–if not all time!). I was amazed. I hope he means it. I do need to say that the preacher who gave the closing prayer/speech offended me greatly! It was one of the most racist things I have ever heard. If he were white, he would have been booed off the podium!
